I play minimum 5 tickets of "box 4". I won a large sum only once this season. I went three weeks in a row of getting ONE wrong! Despite spending $400 a week I am still ahead. Though I am getting killed on pointspread this season. I'm in the hole for about $4,500.

Ive been 1 number off the last 3 weeks, i dont box any, just play straight. I play 3 tickets a week.

I don't box any tickets either and the last 5 weeks have either had 1 or 2 wrong.
I also play the spread as well as a regular ticket with just the odds and cover my other bets with those tickets.

I always try to box at least the last game. A few years ago a friend had all the winning teams going in to Monday night. He didn't know if he stood to win $5000, $50, 000 or $400, 000. He bet against himsef for the Monday night game, but the Pools payout ended up being really low that week. I think he just barely made a profit.

For the extra $5, I think it's worth not having to worry if you ever have to wait for the Monday night result.

With the Thursday game already being played, the odds are slightly more in your favour now. Just slightly though.

For those guys that have been one or two teams off from being a winner recently, maybe you could play your tickets and then post them here. Don't post them before you buy them though, in case someone makes you change your mind on a team and it comes in!!

On one of my tickets , ive been picking Indy every week, hoping they will win, and everyone gets that game wrong, on those tix i always get that one wrong plus another one.

I used to do that too, but after changing my picks and losing, I would make up two sets. The set I felt were good, and the set I adjusted after studying hours of info. Usually, the second set wasn't much better because there is always conflicting information out there, and after a while it just becomes information overload.

New England is 22.5 favourite ? no way. I like chicago as the lock of the week. It is not enough. Randall the handle keeps on screwing me and I started picking the opposite.

Ive been confused, ive never played the spread, it says NE 22.5, so if i think Indy wont get blown out by that much i would pick them right.

Yes, if you choose Indy they have to be within 22.5 points, or if you think N.E. can beat the spread, they have to win by 23 points.
