If you buy 4 separate tickets, you will have a different bunch of numbers than if you bought one $20 ticket, but the odds are the same.

However, if you got the $20 ticket, what if you would have won... but since you went with 4 tickets, you got different numbers and lost.

There really is no such thing as a bad set of numbers. Each set of numbers has the same probability of being drawn. So "1,2,3,4,5,6,7" has the same chance of being drawn as "5,12,32,35,41,44,46".
