What are your thoughts on Black Ops??

After playing the previous 3 COD's...I don't like the multiplayer at all.

The campaign is awesome, however the online gaming sucks. NO gun is any good...feels like WAW guns without proper sights. The knifing feels like you have commando on at all times. The worst single complaint I have about the game though is the spawning!!

BULLSHIT! They will spawn enemies beside you as you spawn...I understand they do this to elimnate spawn traps but now you just make the game frustrating. I'll clear out a builing and step out side and boom..they're people spawning right behind me. They need to fix it.

Sounds in the game also sound cheap..and very unrealistic........guns sound like toys and the chopper(s) sounds like photocopiers...

Once again, even with the help of activision, Treyarch dropped the ball.

Good for them coming up with really good ideas like money, contracts and wagers, makes the game very intense. This game could have been all time epic...but the simple flaws are enough to make this game just OK.

Battlefield?? Counter-strike??????

Noooooo!

Battlefield 2 was just a waste IMO..graphics were so-so and online gaming is rather slow and "camp"-y.plus all guns had unlimited range..my bud would go around sniping people with a shotgun..

and counter-strike..i havent played that since grade 10..lol

CS:S came out in 2004, though it has recently been updated by Valve to a newer engine. It still beats every other FPS by miles, CS an CS:S together often have more players online at any given time than all other FPS's combined. At the moment because CoD:BO is new the combined CoD franchise has a total of around 180k today online versus 140k online for CS and CS:S but that will decline after CoD:BO has been out for few weeks and CS will still be running those numbers.

The reason is because you actually need skill to play CS / CS:S unlike the CoD games, and people like that. That's why it has staying power.

I did not know about those numbers...I'll eat my words and tip my hat to CS.

totally disagree, respectfully..
Battlefield is a war-simulator...COD and CS are FPS....in Battlfield you can get real creative in how you attack/defend your base...instead of running around like headless chickens in those other games.
You are right..it is a war simulator and you do have to rely on your team in order to win. When you have a shitty team it makes for a long boring game though..I guess I prefer the run and gun style of play because you can overcome a crappy team and do it all by yourself.

2 different styles of gaming...so there will be a division on which one is "better".

In case you're curious the stats are here, unfortunately only current stats you can't see historic numbers, but you can check back now and then:

http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

That accurately counts all PC CS/CS:S and CoD players onlines because all their online players have to use Steam. It does not accurately count other games (like Battlefield I think) where you can play without having Steam.
