...bet anything other than the Pass line and Come with full odds. That's all I do. Anything else has to much of a house edge. I do enjoy watching others make those bets. It's great when they win. I never bet the "Don't" anything. Wrong betters I believe are mentally disturbed!!:D

What's your strategy?

PS-Casino Royale in Vegas gives you 100X's odds. .02 House advantage. Thought I'd see some high rollers there. Not. It's kind of a dump. But definitely give it a look if you're in Vegas and just want to shoot some craps.

I have before but only pass/don't pass and come/don't come. If the shooter keeps making 4,5,6,8,9 and 10 why not bet the don't come?

Not sure I understand your question. If shooter is making points you want to be on Pass/Come bets (with full odds). If you are on the Don'ts you lose.

I think the "Don't" bets are given more credit than deserve. House advantage on Pass/Come bets is MAYBE .03% more than Don'ts. You may win more rolls, but for example, I am paid 2 to 1 (on my odds) for the 4 whereas the "Don'ts" get $1 for their $2 bet.

I go from 1 to maybe 3 come bets if I am playing with casino money and the shooter is making points.

Sorry I dont play craps much. I meant to say bet the come bets after the initial point is established.

However isn't betting don't pass better? Once the point is established, the 7 is more likely to be rolled than the point.

"Once the point is established, the 7 is more likely to be rolled than the point."

Yes but that's the problem with being a Don't better too. On the come out roll you lose on a 7 or 11.

I don't believe the come is any better. Both are the same. After the points established and you put a come bet down, it's the same as the pass line on a come out roll. You either win (7, 11), lose (2,3 or 12) and if a number is rolled it's moved to that # and it becomes your point.

The House advantage for Pass vs Don't Pass is 1.41% vs 1.36%. Some say 1.41% vs 1.40%. Is it worth .05% to go against the rest the of table? Either way will work. I like to make money 1st and also have fun. And I believe either way, you have to go for the free odds. There's no house advantage on free odds. They pay 2 to 1, 3 to 2 and 6 to 5. You aren't paid as much being a Don't (wrong better). 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and 5 to 6. You'll win a few more rolls but get paid less. If 4's the point, Pass line gets $10 on a $5 on their odds bet whereas a wrong better has to bet $10 to get $5.

PS-Talking about 7's. Did you hear about the lady in Atlantic City (May 09) that went 4 hr and 18 minutes without rolling a 7? 154 rolls without a 7. New Worlds Record. Only her second time playing Craps. That had to have been fun.

I didnt realize the house edge was so low in craps. Craps is the only game ill play in the Casino, its amazing that they do not have any type of tutorial set up in the falls for craps. The majority of people I talk to say " It looks way to confusing" when really it is not. Anyways after the point comes up I usually bet on a few points as well as a Hard 6, however this is only if im rolling :D

Yeah, when I first walked up to a table, I had NO idea for what was going on. It took a while to sink in, but when I finally got it, it all made sense.

This is a beginners tutorial on Youtube I found. Most of the other videos are "Get Rich Quick" or "Sure Bets" schemes for craps. Yeah right!

These are some bets & house advantages for craps.

All Vegas Casinos run FREE CRAPS lessons...usually around 10 or 11 am......

You show up and they give you chips..and they walk you thru the whole process.

Really a fun way to spend a little time in Vegas.....

And the old guy we had was really quite entertaining....and made it all so easy.

AND LIKE MOST GAMES....once you understand them..THEY ARE EASY!!!

P.S. I like to also bet the 6 and 8's....push them if Im rolling.....

The best is when either a 6 or 8 IS THE POINT...then I just gotta cover the other number (6 or 8) which is not the point.

I know..odds lower...but better rate of return

I read about Casino Royale in Vegas. It's between the Venetian & Harrah's. It's the only place I have heard of that allows you 100X's odds (House edge .02). I went there just to see the action. Figured with the House Edge only .02 there would be lots of high rollers shooting. It was a dump and no high rollers. I did shoot and play some single deck BJ though.
