That's very high with those specs...no drive, 1.5 g RAM, and very small HDD. That's a pretty heavy anchor, it won't float! :D

look it up on ebay. it's still $500 on there.. and you're calling it an anchor? it's one of the smallest 'real' laptops ever built.
cd/dvd drives haven't been used since 2006. when was the last time anyone needed to install anything? it's all downloadable.
as for the ram and hdd, it's all upgradable.

a boat anchor would be my 15" macbook pro. what a waste of money. $2000 new and i never use it.
it's for sale too if you want. $950

btw.. if you want more anchors.. try season tickets for the Leafs.. I'll be putting up some of those soon too. Golds. If you're looking for a particular game, let me know.

Don't overlook netbooks. My daughter attends university and prefers her netbook (Acer Aspire One) over her desktop which has now given it back to me. I also own my own netbook and I really like using it. It is my laptop and I have no complaints about performance. Both netbooks have XP and Windows 7 home premium installed. They came with XP but I added Windows 7 and can dual boot between both operating systems. Both netbooks have 1GB of ram, 160GB hardrives and have 10.1" screen. I notice running applications, web browsing and web streaming work better and faster using Windows 7. Most new netbooks come with Windows 7 Starter which is just fine and you can upgrade later to Home Premium later if you want. I spent $275 (on special) for each netboos. Netbooks are often on special.

For most non-engineering students a netbook is just fine and very light and portable. My daughter has had her netbook for over year and is always using it. It is quite durable. At a $300 entry point for most netbooks (new) they can offer great value.
