Asus is the most reliable laptop available. and it's warranty is the best as it's the only one with a worldwide warranty. if you travel you're covered no matter where you are.
it also runs cooler than any others, which is one of the biggest problems with notebooks
Visit
Canada Computers , you can pick up refurbished stuff really cheap and with warranty...netbooks start at $199.00
Ok, Point taken.
But still disagree
Even though they have an outstanding advertised warranty program. Have you tried to get warranty on Asus laptops?
I have three individuals friends who purchased Asus laptops in the past. The reason why they did so ? Because of their warranty, since they fly all over the world for business and they liked that initial option Asus provided. As a friend in the biz I strongly told them to stay away from Asus / Acer brand (laptop's). What happened after a few months ? Some worked well, then they all started to have issues at different times in it's lifespan. Those guys/girl spent more time on the phone with Asus warranty department sending their devices back and forth for repair, and each time they got it back it worked for a little while and then the laptop crap out.
Don't get me wrong, Asus makes awesome hardware (Motherboards) for PC's. I stand by their product if I'm building a PC for a family or friend, but laptops I will not.
Keep in mind also, when you send back your laptop for warranty, in most cases they will wipe your hard drive clean. So if you store important data on their, make sure you have a backup of it.
Refurbished Laptops: Also stay away.
Bella, if you have the extra money. I suggest putting it toward a good decent Toshiba laptop.
