La la land
I just got back from Seductions, Penthouse, and PE-55 {Private Eyes}, and ...
Seductions has at least 15 girls and 12 patrons around 8-9pm. They waive the door fee... make sense almost no one inside.

Penthouse had 3 - I was the 3rd when I walked in- and maybea total of 6 when I left at 10pm. When I got there all the cars were from the staff. There was a guy waiting in his car for people to come in. And I got charged cover charge, what a joke. Could you believe I had to get the waitress to get me or send me a girl.

PE-55 had people more than combine from the above two, with plenty of the Mexicans working in the farms. Actually they made up the 1/2 the patrons. A good 3 .5 dozen patrons.

They all blamed it on the July 4th long weekend. They thought alot fo people would show up. Or could it be that stimulus package that hasn't reached the people at the bottom.

Thanks for the report.
Many Yanks hearing reports over here to expect long waits at the bridges, may have opted to not cross this weekend.

Other way around, It's the US that has imposed that, for entry into USA.

I spent 4 hours a couple years ago getting back in US a couple years ago over the 4th weekend after playing golf. The customs guy added insult to injury by asking why it took 10 hrs to play golf!

Same thing happened to me a couple years ago on a holiday weekend. No delay to Canada but coming back took a little over 5 hours! I've usually stayed Stateside on holidays since.

As usual, Woodpeckr is right on. Its become well known to us hobbyists from the states that going to Canada over holidays can mean long waits at customs, and many of us just stay over here.

Holidays years ago were the norm, I crossed 3 times this weekend with almost noone on the bridge, almost spooky.

The impacr of the passport/EDL requirement is now fully in place and shopping venues on this side that used to have lots of Canadian customers are seeing the same kind of "spooky" deserted effect. Read somewhere that Niagara Region border crossings were down 20% over last year, BEFORE the 6/1/09 additional requirements. Wouldn't surprise me to learn they are down another 20% or more after. These DHS turds wouldn't care if the whole border shut down entirely - pretty arrogant attitude for people who, to my knowledge, have yet to catch terrorist one. There was a flurry of activity at both DMV and the PO (where you go here to get a passport) in late May from people who HAVE to cross for work and such, but my guess is lots of people on both sides just aren't going to think it worth it to jump through the extra hoops. :(

I've pretty much written off crossing the border to go to Buffalo. I'd rather just stay home and avoid the hassle.

No more Beer and Wing runs :(

We used to shoot over for Beer N Wings in Niagara Falls NY, but not so much anymore! Crossed over @ Lewiston couple of weeks ago, 45min wait to get into US. Came back via Rainbow Bridge, drove straight across and up to booth! Took all of 5min to get back into Canada! Oh why oh why did we ever let them close the lower bridge? and I miss Mr B's!

If that's the Mr. B's on Hyde Park, I think they changed the name which probably means its under new mgmt.
