I just knocked out the Iceman with a knee to his face!!!!

I downloaded the demo for this a few days ago and haven't been able to stop playing it. THQ did an amazing job with the graphics and overall feel of the game. They have included the same opening theme music from TUF (really gets your adrenaline pumping) and same music from the PPV for the tale of the tape. Joe & Goldie's commentating brings it to life. And of course, there's the beautiful Arianny and the lovely Edith!
They have included fighter's hallmark moves like Iceman's looping over the top knockout right and Shogun's awesome Muy Thai clinch moves. Right now, I enjoy doing non-stop hammer fists from the open guard with Chuck.
Or I'll just throw kicks to the body until the opponent looks like a tenderized steak and hobbles around, real fun!

The ground game seems the most difficult to master as it's no easy feat submitting a guy unless he's really battered.
Love how they do a close-up slo-mo of a KO showing how the guys face wobbles and the mouthpiece shoots out, awesome!

I would have liked for them to have had the way of victory (eg. by armbar or ko or strikes) announced by the voice of the octagon at the end of the fight but that's just a minor peeve.

Having played both the PS3 and XBOX demos, I think they did a better job with the XBOX version. PS3 play seemed very jerky to me and the music was different.

Can't wait for the official release on May 19 2009. Then I can KO some of you guys online with my vicious ground and pound!
"Can you hear meeeeee???"

I totally agree. This is the most I have played a game demo .. well ever.

I like how they have really captured the essence of MMA. You have to fight according to the style of the fighter. Chuck is not going to pull off a sub unless the guy is dead. Instead u are best to stick to ground and pound. Yet at the same time, there are still the one-hit knockouts and knockdowns since everyone always has a punchers chance and a single shot can always turn the tides.

Can't wait for the release and hopefully it is the first of many yearly releases.

This game has got me pumped! can't wait to pick up it up on May 19. I own a PS3 and can't imagine why there would be much difference between the ps and xbox version??
