I have no problem with them, G..I mean, it's a few guys that havent been to see me that are playing their games.
I also had a horrible asshat make up flyers and attempt to damage my reputation where i used to live because I wouldnt let him in the door due to being drunk and I know he's the pivot of that whole circle jerk.
He's also putting other ads on CL regarding a job, apartment and a car for sale using my number and due to all of this, the police have been involved.
Like I said, is a small group of men, excuse me, boys that I have refused to see and because of that, their little feelings are hurt. No biggie to me.
I personally have to have some sort of interest in whomever calls me or else I dont see them, simple as that. When people phone, if they could use great manners and be considerate, then there isnt much trouble.
For example, when you phone, please start off your calls to any of the ladies with, "Hi, my name is XXXX and I'm calling about the ad, do you have a minute to talk?"
This shows the recipient that youre conscientious of their time.
Next, if they answer positively, continue on with "I'm from XXX and I read the ad and I was wondering if you have some time in say, an hour or so".
This is succinct, to the point and once again, shows that you read the ads and know the who, what, where, and are trying to arrange the when.
If the ladies ad does not include information you might need, ask her politely, I'm sure she'll answer.
However, if the ad answers all your questions but you just didnt read it, odds are she wont be receptive. Also, some of us older ones still adhere to the rule that talking dollars on the phone is illegal and so when you're asking "how much" and the ad already says how much, IMHO it reeks of suspicion.
I know this may seem like grief but not all of us do this as our main business. Some of us really do it because we enjoy the results, are a little lonely or simply just love chortling goo.
