My fav for Indian is Classic Indian on Wissler Road in Waterloo. Not much to look at, but good food, home-made, priced right. Their onion bhajis (sp?) are extraordinary as is their lamb tikka masala.

For Thai/Vietnamese, I like Ben Thanh on Northfield (quite close to Wissler Rd, right by the Keg). Good food but the service can be spotty and it's a busy place, I often have to wait for a table.

But I know both those menus inside and out and would like to find something different. Any suggestions?

I know it's not Waterloo but there is a place in Cambridge, near King and Eagle. One side of is a gas station and the other is the restaurant. The prices are amazing, I like their Spring rolls.
There is also also a place just off Hwy 24 near Velvet, not far from Ben Thanh. They have excellent Tom Yum Soup. Very Spicy. I think Coconut is in the name.

Thank goodness for all the Chinese restaurants in town...

They take good care of the cat population which is why you don't see too many cats running around on the streets...

why do you think they call it Cheek in Fly Lie instead of chicken fried rice...

It's because they don't even know what they're feeding you...

I can't let this thread run its course without an honorable mention for the Hong Kong Seafood in the Forest Glen Plaza. No question the best hot and sour and mostly authentic asian dishes and lots of MSG.
