Wow, Yesterday's 649 draw is 23 40 41 42 44 45 B43, if we exclude 23, it's actually consecutive numbers from 40-45. Nobody hit the jackpot on todays' draw, but 239 ppl got 5+bonus, wondering how many tickets are 40-45. It's pretty funny cause if you hit 5 you'll get about 2k while 5+bonus only get you about 1k.

"Making a decent entry on the [lottery] coupon is a necessity else you will end up selecting a large amount of numbers that other people have done too and if that day arrives you will find yourself sharing your winning with half the population of the world. (my emphasis). Scant reward for such good fortune."

I picked three numbers in the 40's, but unfortunately I wasn't able to select one of the six that were drawn.

Once again, I believe that all numbers are equally (im)probable and no one should be surprised at that result. Sure, it's a small chance but so is 1,2,3,4,5,6.

But, my point is playing numbers that appear unlikely to get drwan is not such a bad idiea.
Assuming the draws are random, playing numbers that are unlikely to be played by many other people is the way to go.

1,2,3,4,5,6 may seem like an unlikely combination, but I have few doubts that there are 100s of people who play these consecutive numbers. After all, 239 people played the consecutive numbers 40,41,42,43,44,45 on March 19. Five out of six plus the bonus usually nets 6 figures for the winners.

Quick pick.

Assuming the random number generator is well coded, I'm not falling victim to whatever psychological trick causes people to commonly pick certain numbers, and my odds of winning are the same as going to the trouble of manually selecting numbers.

The point is to use a system that has the potential to actually win you some money..in your case
the QP, if you have found it to work for you. In my case I found that my own numbers almost always seem to perform better than QPs( less free tickets, more $$ refunds).
There is no doubt in my mind some type of reduced system
combined with good number mixing can get good results.

However, there is a good deal of work that goes into the number picking process/wheeling, most people don't have the time or patience for it, that's why
QPs will always be a popular form of gambling.

For lotteries like Super 7 the QP is so inefficient you would be very lucky
to get more than a free ticket. I am sure you have probably found this to be true, week after week, month after month.
When I hear people say : 'I bought $20 worth of S7 QPS and all I got was a bunch of free tickets" I always laugh at them and say "so, what did you expect ?".
That's why I never use QPS. Almost always when I get $10 back on a Super 7, the numbers are mine, not those generated by the OLG system.

On every lottery slip there is an option to mix quick - pick/self-pick.
It never hurts to try some of your own numbers once in a while - you never know.
