I watched Blackjack switch being played in Vegas and Fallsview the last couple weeks. Looks interesting. Odds are slightly better IF PLAYED CORRECTLY. DD's, Splits, Hits and Stands are not the same as regular BJ:

You place 2 bets and you are dealt 2 hands. You may switch the second card in each hand (to the other hand) if you like. Dealer pushes with a 22. BJ's pay 1-1. I believe Fallsview dealers stay on a soft 17. I will probably play next week. Anyone play it yet? Your thoughts?

Someone else told me about his experiences with this game. He actually did quite well, making a few hundred at a $25 table. But he also said he knew he got really lucky.

To me it doesn't sound like a good game. Switching your card means you may really being trying to go for a tie overall between both your hands. With a dealer push of 22 and BJ paying 1:1, I can't see it being worth it to pay or play.

It has to favor the house more than regular blackjack or it wouldn't be there!

I played in Vegas because it looked interesting, but i quickly became tired with it. Preffered regular blackjack much more.
Actually the best and most fun blackjack game i played was a one deck game. Cards dealt face down you add your hand up yourself, i seemed to do well and everyone at the table was having a blast. I dont think Ontario has any one deck games do they?

I played this in Vegas had a lot of fun and made money at it. I am just back from Fallsview and didn't see it there . There is talk of them adding the game but dealers were saying it is postponed . Can anyone actually verify it is there now and where is it being played and for what table limits ?

Yes it is at Fallsview. I watched. I would have played but both tables were full. They start at about 10am. There are only two tables and they are near the 365 Bard.

Heard that they're bringing this game to Rama next week. Has anyone played this at Fallsview or elsewhere who would like to share their experiences?

Out being curious
I also played it in vegas, at O' shea's
starts off fun and is OK with the switch thing...but it loses its appeal as u play because u realize you HAVE to bet two hands each game...so ur $25 dollar bet per hand turns out to be $50..then after i while i had no money...lol

I found that i won 1 hand and lost the other is most cases...not worth it in my opinon...

I'm going next week so i'll try it again till i get bored or broke...lol

Switch is also at Casino Niagara. I have a friend who made some money playing. I prefer regular BJ.

Did you play your one deck game in downtown LV? That's where it's most common.

They play single deck at Casino Royale. It's right between The Venetian and Harrah's on the same side of street. They also have 100X's Craps. I walked by it many times without seeing it. If you blink you'll miss the sign!! It's kind of a dump. but if you don't want to go downtown for single deck it's convenient.
