West of everywhere
So the City of Hamilton has managed to close down a massage parlour.

Suggestions for the City's TDL?

1. Get rid of all those old buildings downtown: people like new things.

2. Flatten out that damned escarpment: nobody likes walking uphill.

3. Add more one way streets. They're fun.

What else?

6. Build a new hockey arena and get an NHL team (oops already did that ... well partially)

just lost
10. Use Coote's Paradise as a landfill, and THEN convert it to parking and a new highway to T.O. For a fee, of course! (Who need a mosquito infested swamp, anyway?)

11.

Give Flamborough to The Region of Waterloo, so Hamiltonians don't have to pay for there past debts and mismanagement ! We also wouldn't have to listen to them whine like little girls.

Caledonia better in your opinion? ^_^

Dont know I've never lived there. I just do know that since amalgamation my property taxes have nearly doubled and I dont have anything to show for it. Dont like my tax $$$$ going into the Hamilton core. Dont have sewer, city water here so WTF?

bradLD, I totally hear where you are coming from. Same thing has happened to me, my property taxes have doubled but my services have gone down. Not only do we not get city water and sewage; but there is now a proposal in council to start taxing us for well water! Don't worry. I suspect that it will never fly as that would create significant risk for the city... (think Walkerton).

A few years ago I had to install a new septic bed. Between the environmental engineer and the city permit it cost me $2,500 just to get permission to replace my existing septic system. I really resented paying that $2,500 since I feel that I am already paying for it with my tax hike.

a city councill that gives a S^^T that is funny who cares what hamiltonians City council and the mayor will do what we think is best for them. Lets take away Liquor, smoking in public places and put a ban on having fun. Most people are not aware that less than 2% of township of glanbrook voted yes for the expansion and growth going on in the binbrook area, and that the township actually had extra money in the coffers. That was all given to the greater city of hamilton when the amalgemation took place. City Coucil sucks. Sorry touchy subject i start to rant oopppps

How about stopping urban crawl!

Its getting way to stupid.....I remember when Stonechurch Rd was oil & gravel! Heritage Green Homes backed onto Mud St. (you could sit on my brothers back porch with a beer and count the cars!) Now we have mini mansions off Rymal Rd....far to many stop lights on Rymal! You have a down town core that is an eye sore! They are building houses faster then they can be sold! and those suckers arn't cheap housing! Hamilton is sincerely becoming a wasteland, businesses are closing, people getting laid off! and this city buys a freaking strip club! Time to move...oh wait I can't...nobody wants to live in the Hammer anymore!
