I am just trying to understand if I have this right playing pro picks lets say the NFL, do you select a single sheet and you play all the games and the winnings are determined by number of players? i went to their website and they were going on about some quarterback thing in their example, can anyone shed some light?

If you pick nothing but the favourites, chances are your share of the "winnings" will be small. However, if you box a couple of long-shots, you will increase your odds of taking home a higher dollar prize.

Last week was interesting, save for the Philly game I would have been one of the lucky winners (10 people won $30K plus). Mind you, had Philly won, chances are the pot would have been smaller.

Some good boxes this week - Dal/Mia, Indy/Tenn. Games that are too close to call - SD/NE, Pack/NYG...

If you have a few pals/co-workers you may want to pool your cash and play a couple of tickets or four box plays.

so close and yet so far ? eh ? ref ?
Isn't there a $100/wager limit per day or something like that ? Why ?
It seems so unlike OLGC to refuse people's money ?

hmm this seems a farshot and not really worth it, perhaps I should stick to point spread on Pro Line to make a couple of bucks.

I'm not too sure if there is a cap or not. I believe those guys in Quebec were making a killing off of pro-line a while back. Some odds are good, if you follow sports. Take three strong favourites, bet large and receive a small payout. However, if $10 makes you $12, then $1,000 could make you $1,200 or $10K could make you $12K - You just have to play the same ticket 1,000 times.

I may try a hand at Keno Fred. If I win big don't be surprised if I show up at your door naked.

I have actually had more winnings with the "pools" than with the "point spread". For the past few years I have broke even with pro-line during the NFL season (90% of my pro-line bets).

There are some good odds associated with straight pro-line (home, tie, visitor), but you need to win on three games. Tough in NFL betting. Even strong favourites are hard to pick like this weekend - Indy, Cincy, Jack, Car, Den all failed to cover or win by 8 points. The NHL is easier to play straight up.

As mentioned, hockey is not too bad, but the odds are lower for payout values, unless you wager bigger dollars - Which is risky.

My goal these next few months - Score some small winnings on low risk games, then bet the winnings on calculated longer shots (not too long). I would like to win enough to pay for hardwood floors in my house.

Lately, Keno numbers are very bad. Very difficult to predict what's in the next draws based on recent history.

They may have moved to a new system or perhaps they are in revenue generating mode as opposed to prize giving mode.
I will call them this week to find out excatly what is going on.

i agree, people on lotto649.ws are pretty much agreeing its rigged.
what a bastard move, as if they dont generate enough profit from 649 super7

as for pro picks or pools, its probably better to try spreads, that way its fixated to certain payout, but once again, they have 3 4 different results the next day(uusually minor changes,) probably rigged to, if too many winners....

I did not think a Lottery Corp could get away with something like that. But if you read the small print at the OLGC site carefully they might actually be legally protected....which is shocking but there is no doubt in mind that
Keno draws are sometimes "managed" somehow. I don't think the Corp makes a lot of money from Keno, too many winners and lots of small players.eg:
compare with Paypay which is $2.00 per line, hardly any big winners for weeks.
Whereas with Keno a single guy playing 4 # game consistently can gross $400 + in a single week.
I would assume each individual lottery is treated as a seperate cost center for accounting
purposes so although the other lotteries are doing well, Keno still have to balance their books.
