I made the mistake of buying this game on Friday. I could barely put it down all weekend. If you like the first GOW you'll love this one. Same sort of concepts with fighting and solving puzzles. One thing I didn't like was the lack of nudity and some of the same characters are in this version as well.

But it's really a great game. And an FYI there's 2 CD's. I think one is a special feature.

Outstanding game, while not particularly novel, I find the graphics and the landscapes, buildings etc. absolutely breathtaking! Fantastic work.
Especiall the The Temple of Lahkesis chapter.

Actually that;s as far as i;ve gotten.

Though bloody, its a great game.

An incredible game in almost every way. Especially the visuals without a doubt the best looking PS2 game ever made. It totally outdoes the original. One thing that kind of bugs me is how late it was released in the PS2's lifecycle. The PS3 had already been out for 4 months at the time GOW 2 was released. I just wish it came out sooner.

Just saw a video review of it, damn is that ever violent.
Don't get me wrong, violence is cool'n'all but this is a bit much. lol
Ripping out an eyeball from a cyclops? Gutting a boar, cutting a flying eagle's wing off in mid-flight?
Errrr and they wonder why kids are fucked up these days.
That Kratos is one mean ass mother fucker who needs to talk to a psychiatrist and deal with his issues.

Very intense game, but KWI, come on, you know kids will want to play it and will get their hands on it regardless.
Ya, Kratos definitely has issues. :p

Actually Bully is Grand Theft Auto light. I thought it was more of a kid game.


How long did it take you to finish GOW II?

Sure, but I'm not sure how Blockbuster would feel about that...

Renting is IMHO the way to go. Very few games I actually own and keep playing.
