Great game but it was disappointingly easy (and I played on the medium level, not the easy). They've changed health so that it constantly regenerates when you find cover, so no more medic kits (which is a good thing, IMO). But the change makes the game easier as all you have to do is hunker down and not take damage for a brief period of time.

Once again, the MP40 is the best weapon of the game. The M1 Garand is probably a close second for me. It's high rate of fire, accuracy, long range, and ability to reload relatively quickly all make it a very good weapon. Sniper rifles continue to be fun. Grenades come in especially handy, what with all the rooms in houses that need to be cleared out.

I didn't like driving the Jeep. I found it to be almost impossible to know where you're going except by looking at the compass map. I was basically driving blind.

Less vehicles in this game, but more unique things to do. Operating the mortar was the most difficult part of the game for me b/c it took forever to figure out how it worked. You also get to use anti-tank artillery, anti-tank bazookas, heavy machine guns, etc.

Canadians were featured in the game for the first time. I ever caught an "Eh?" in there.

The game seemed short, but that's probably b/c it was so easy. They also seemed to streamline the checkpoints so you don't have to go all the way back to a previous check point like in previous games. Normally, at the tougher parts, there's a checkpoint right before so when you die you just jump right back in. I can remember parts of CoD3 that were insanely aggravating to beat but I didn't get any sense of that with this game.

It'll be curious to see what the next theatre will be in CoD4. I think using Falaise wasn't the strongest of themes to choose from, but I realize the designers are probably running out of theatres. There's not a heck of a lot left (for the Western Allies at least) other than the Italian campaign. I'd really like to see an Eastern Front version though. And maybe one where you could play the Germans for once.

I havent played all of the single player mode yet, but I liked the previous ones so I bought it. The big selling point for me is X-Box live, and COD3 plays totally different than COD2 and I'm not sure yet if it's for the better. The multi-player boards are a lot bigger now and much more complex, and the graphics are great but I am not sold on the gameplay just yet. it is going to have to grow on me, that's for sure.
