Idk if anyone else here is a fan of this series, but i have been since i played the first 1, was immediately hooked!! I cannot wait for this to come out next week on XBox. 360 has alread been released yesterday and just checked IGN ratings and they gave 9s all across. Seem pretty solid. Hopefully the xbox versions and it should be, as good as the 360.
I'm not a big video game person, but when it comes to splinter cells i'm completely different. I cant say that about any game. I definitely put the series on top of my fav list.
They should all be released same time.

I loved the first one. Incredible game. Each one after has been getting worse. I'm currently playing Chaos Theory. I've been playing it since it came out. I just can't get into it. The levels are so boring and there's no challenge. Also, a lot of games are being wrecked by thier save system where you can save at any point in the game. It takes the challenge out of it. I know I don't have to save all the time but it's hard not to. Saves a lot of time.
I'm a big fan of the Rainbow Six series but the new save format wrecked them too. Hopfully Double Agent goes back to the Splinter Cell roots because that is one of my all time favorites.

I've been playing it on Double Agent on PS2 and it has gotten any better. I think they're making this game too easy now. It's been getting worse. I like the double agent undercover play but there's a big difference between the first Splinter Cell and this one. I still like the series and will still probably get the next one that comes out.

I agree with Back Burner's comments. The game is too easy but i'm hooked to the series. I think the major difference w/double agent is that you're not always hiding in shadows and you have a bit of decision making (not too big of a deal). Anyway the locations are pretty cool but other than that it's the standard splinter cell game - crouch - sneak up behind enemies - knock them out and do your thing.
