So after catching the fever of world cup (although i know next to nothing about soccer) i went out and bought a copy of FIFA 06 of the X-box. Here's the pros and cons.

PRO:
-great visuals and graphics
-fluid motion of the characters
-insane amount of leagues and players
-very pretty to look at especialy if your TV supports 720P resolution
-good music and commentary

CONS:
-nearly impossible to score a goal. I've played this game for almost 2 weeks straight without scoring a goal yet.
-even on the lowest difficulty level, the computer was still kicking my ass.
-not as easy to play as FIFA 04, that was a much better game for game play.

If you play soccer for real, maybe you can figure out a way to score. Great game visualy but the game play becomes boring if you can't even get the ball near the goal, nevermind scoring.

I'd rate this game 6/10

Is there an option in the game that allows you to choose Zidane and head butt Materazzi?

I got World Cup 2006 and also have a problem scoring. Mind you I am always using a top team against a shitty team and I still get scored on at least once.

One time I was using Brazil against the computer's China and I lost 0-2!!!

I will have to agree for the hardcore soccer fan its all about the Winning Eleven series, FIFA may have the more licenced teams and players( do we really need the Korean League) etc but in the overall game sense and realism, Winning Eleven floors them, FIFA seems to be rehashing the same thing year in and out, with really no great improvements since 2003

I thought it was just me.

I know we are suppose to hold the square button and see how powerful we want to kick the ball with the meter above the player's name, but, it's really hard. Especially trying to adjust the direction of the ball into the net!!!

My only problem with FIFA 06 is that you can't do a headbutt.

That's what I said.
