Apparently after reading slickz and darknites personal blogs the Swedish Anti Piracy group that secured the information for the warrant lied to the police and said that they hosted a Warez site........ PirateBay had 160 Servers seized.

Talk of the servers being back up online in Holland or Russia or being set up as co-los.

Technically many BT sites, includeing TPB, don't host warez they simply run the trackers that allow the people to connect to each other to share data.

Why were the servers moved if there was no illegal activity?

I'm not 100% sure of the laws in Sweden but in North America and most of Europe what they're doing is illegal. They are enabling piracy by host torrent tracking files of copyrighted material.

TPB has moved most of it's servers to Russia, the Ukraine, and some other unnamed Eastern European country.

Been fooling around with Torrent sites and saw the Pirate Bay, the biggest & best, was shut down again the last few days. They posted they would be back again but were still down this sunday. Just checked minutes ago and they are back up & running.

What seems to be happening is every time some Torrent site get shut down, several new ones pop up to take its place.

Those are cool T-Shirts. Would you wear one of these at the next NAMM?
Sure why not.
That's where the real 'legal' pirates, buccaneers and privateers hang out right.....;)
