In 99-01, the exchange rate I was getting was around 50% sometimes as high as 56%. After 9-11, guys no longer wanted to cross the border due to hassles. Given that I wasn't actually from Windsor, just visited regularly, I started visiting Detroit instead. Now Detroit's economy is in the toilet, and I've been depending on Chicago and other better faring cites more and more.
