Hi,

I recently intalled a wireless router and connected it to my Rogers cable modem. The internet connection works bit now my email doesn't - Outlook doesn't recognize my incoming and outgoing mailservers.

I'm hesitant to call Rogers tech support since they will probably tell me that I should be paying an extra monthly charge for have more than one 'connection' in the house.

Any ideas, anyone?

Was it working before U connected to UR wireless router?
If it was, try checking the firewall settings in the router maybe its blocking the ports for mail server. Also try shutting down the firewall in Ur computer and see if it works.

If you are using a Router, you need the actual name of the Servers.
For Rogers:
Incoming=pop.broadband.rogers.com
Outgoing=smtp.broadband.rogers.com.

Thanks for your responses, everyone.

It's working now.

Then I spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to set up a wireless network and get my laptop to connect to it!

I have to say that it is f**king cool being able to surf the web in the back yard, without wires!
