Anyone know where I can buy ink for an epson printer ? other than best buy or staples or future shop .

Is it just me or does anyone else think that $50 + tax is a ripoff for black ink .

can anyone recommend a good aftermarket refill system that will work for a
c80 printer?

recently I got tired of the rising cost of ink for my EPSON 600 printer.

As the printer is close to 10 years old, it was time to replace with a new photo quality printer. I picked up another epson for about 100 bucks and for about 120 more I got a brother laser. I reasoned that most of my printing is in B&W the laser would save me cash.

So far so good.

Be careful with refill systems on Epson. I've destroyed two C80 printers with refill cartridges. The problem is that some of the aftermarket ink clogs up the printer. I went to the Canon 9000 something and have not had any problems. The Canon cartridges don't come with microchips that need to be reset.

Epson printers have the print head built into the printer. Cheap ink clogs the head and toasts the printer. It's cheaper to buy a new printer than to replace the print head.

The Epson refills are a scam. The microchip doesn't measure the remaining ink, it just counts the number of pages that were printed. When it says the cartridge is empty, it could still be 1/2 full.

Other printers have the head built into the cartridge. If it clogs, throw the cartridge/head away and buy a new one.

Best spot I've found for all things Epson is:

Tricera
290 Carlaw Avenue, Suite 102
Toronto, Ontario
Phone: 416.465.0332
http://www.tricera.com

Their prices are better than anywhere I've found yet for paper and ink.

Yeah ink refills are expensive (it's how they make their money) but everyone I know has had nothing but horrible experiences with refill kits. Part of the problem is the cartridges are all vacuum sealed at the factory. To refill they they have to break the vacuum seal. As well, the colours are never quite the same.

Your place!!
I have used a Place Called "Island Inkjet" for Refills, they are found in quite a few malls.
My question is, Does anybody know if there is an after market replacement cartridge for "Dell" printers, seems like you have to buy from Dell only, from what I can find.
