Is it true that if I have rogers HS net and disconnect the cable service I can still get free basic cable?

Will this work 100% even in condos?

Anyone with experience?

I think this depends on whether or not your condo fee covers you for
basic cable. Otherwise you have to pay.

right now, one of my units that i use when I'm in Toronto has basic cable and hi-speed internet and my bill is $80/mth....but i heard from a friend that if I cancel my basic cable I can still have TV service if my internet cable is split using those radioshack splitters.

anyone able to verify this for condos?

a good friend of mine works for rogers and was telling me yes you can get cable (basic usually) but it all depends on weather the repair guy actually comes to your place, most of the time they dont bother (they still get paid) so you get to keep the cable.

okay, if that is the case of the repair guy coming...I know he will...this condo has a rogers truck in the lot everyother day with him doing something (disconnect/reconnect/hs internet/etc).
