If your getting a humming noise then it must be your cable. I have an Ipod video 60Gb and a 4th gen ipod 40gb and I connect the 40gb to my HIFI with no hum and I use the docking station on my ipod video to display photos on my TV.

If your looking for add-ons for your ipod I would suggest going to the drbott.com website. Its got lots of great stuff for ipod and other Mac stuff.

Thanks

Poor cable is picking up the spinning drive vibration.

Don't know if anyone is already aware.. but a regular Video Cable... the one you get with most digital cameras with a 3.5mm pin on one end (goes in camera's a/v out jack) and regular rca (white, red, yellow) on the other end will work.

Here's the trick!!!

When you plug into your TV.. put the Yellow pin into Red Hole (normally reserved for for right audio) and put the Red pin into the Yellow Hole.

I do this all the time and it works!!!! Apple is just trying to scam people by interchanging this and charging $40 something for their cable.
