I SO hope they bring that type of service here but with the cable and satellite conglomerate's power, I bet dollars to donuts they will fight it tooth and nail.

Look Communications just bullshitted their channel lineup/packages so now if I want all the movie channels, I have to take APTN, BET, WTN, TNN and all the other no good stations.

Only problem I see with the pick and play service is all these smaller, low market stations may fall by the wayside and fold.

Speaking of BS of pay tv stations which really bugs me:

I have to pay a premium to get Discovery Channel, HGTV, History channel etc. So, if I'm paying for the station, Why the hell do I have to watch commercials? Free TV pays for their service by selling air time, so I I'm already paying for the station, why do they have to sell air time as well?

Believe CRTC decided keep channel bundle in place for at least 2(?) yrs. To keep the less popular channels afloat for timebeing.

tboy, some of those channels on your list have some good programming.

My preference is the wave of the future, buy tv by the shows you want to watch and not channels. Buy say "Amazing Race" for $0.99.:)
