rim, no short term worries
RIM's year range is 62-105, and closed the day (the day after the annoucement) up .45 cents. 79.45
Microsoft's target is the prosumer market at least initially. I have no doubt they'd like the whole market, but I don't think it will happen quickly if it happens at all. RIM is very intrenched, and it will be tough to compete with that without a couple of years of a good track record behind them. Microsoft tends to provide better if no exclusice support for micrsoft products. If their new device supported alternate mail solutions like lotus notes, or provided software to use the device with a linux desktop they would be far more dangerous. I doubt they'll do that. So I think it will take a couple of years where they can prove that they can keep their device virus and security issue free before there will be any big uptake in the enterprise market.
RIM' stock price right now is far more a function of the law suit. When that settles it probably go up 5 or 10 bucks. I Still think it's overpriced where it is though.
