What if you don't like commercials?
Wouldn't you pay for a station without advertisements or personalities? I would, I love music.

Yes, and I only received 30 something channels. Now I have over 300 channels, and I still can't find anything to watch.

Then radio heads should step up, and provide better entertainment. I would stick with free radio if I didn't have to listen to Canadian content laws, And the Disc jockeys didn't play the same song over and over again.

My computer connects the reciever with an digital link directly. Then I just use iTunes radio or CBC. It's free and good.

Feel free to listen to American stations

You see they too are free and not subject to Canadian Content laws

Why would I want to listen to American radio? I want to listen to music.

American stations are no better, they censor out swear words in songs like the Who's "Who are you".

When the the government can get out broadcasting and radio station can stand up for themselves, then they may be able to compete.

For now, I'll pay for something different.

From its simple remote control, Squeezebox gives instant access to any music on your computer, plus hundreds of crystal-clear internet radio stations: http://www.slimdevices.com/pi_overview.html
I use Winamp 5.08 player, it's free from www.winamp.com and by now there are probably newer free versions out.
It has hundreds of free radio and TV stations from all over the world you can listen to and watch.

Believe there are other media players all free that do the same thing.
